The lights at ASDC 2026 were bright, the crowd was big and the judging was tough. In the highly competitive Debut Category, Veeran performed with a focus and rhythm that stunned the judges.
When his name was called for the Top Prize Gold Award, it was more than a trophy. It was proof that autism is not a limitation to talent. It is a different way of hearing the world.
More Than One Win: A Track Record of Excellence
Veeran's ASDC Gold was not luck. It was built on discipline.
Before ASDC, Veeran achieved:
- Merit in Rockschool Debut Drum Exam
- Distinction in Rockschool Grade 1 Drum Exam
After ASDC, Veeran achieved:
- Distinction in Rockschool Grade 2 Drum Exam
Any drummer attending regular drum lessons would know, a Distinction in Rockschool Exams is incredibly hard to earn. For a young drummer with special needs, it shows extraordinary dedication, muscle memory and musicality.
