The Comeback No One Saw Coming: Xue Ting Wins Top Prize Gold Award at ASDC 2026.
Most people remember the champions. We remember the comebacks.
On 9th August 2026, at the Asia Supreme Drum Competition (ASDC) held in Singapore, Drumstruck Studios student Xue Ting was announced as the Top Prize Gold Award winner for the Grade 2 Category.
It was her second time on the ASDC stage. And this is why her win means more.
2025: The Year She Walked Away With No Trophy
Xue Ting first competed at ASDC in 2025. Like many first-timers, she prepared for months, waited backstage with shaking sticks and performed her heart out. She didn't win anything.
For a young adult drummer, that can be the end of the story. Many quit.
Xue Ting didn't.
2026: The Year She Rewrote Her Story
For 12 months, she did the unglamorous work. Rudiments. Timing. Dynamics. Listening back to her own recordings. During her drum lessons at Drumstruck Studios, her focus shifted from "I want to win" to "I want to be undeniably better."
On 9th August 2026, she returned to the same competition, same stage, same nerves.....but a completely different drummer.
The judges didn't just give her a Gold Award. They gave her the Top Prize Gold Award, reserved for the highest scoring Champion in the Grade 2 category.
What Makes a Champion?
At Drumstruck Studios, our slogan is "OTHERS DREAM OF SUCCESS, WE MAKE IT HAPPEN!"
Xue Ting lived it. Talent gets you on stage. Resilience puts you on the podium.
Her story is not about a perfect first attempt. It's about the courage to try a second time when the first time gave you nothing. That's the Drumstruck spirit we teach. Not just drumming, but grit.
Congratulations, Xue Ting. Your Gold is not just a trophy. It's proof that comebacks are always stronger than setbacks.
