Some drummers win competitions. Some ace exams. Some dominate their school talent show. Haz Ryean does all three.
On 9th August 2026, at the Asian Supreme Drum Competition (ASDC) 2026 in Singapore, Haz Ryean was crowned Top Prize Gold Award Winner for Rockschool Grade 3 Category.
For Haz Ryean, the podium is becoming familiar territory.
2025: The Foundation. 2026: The Domination.
In ASDC 2025, Haz Ryean won Champion for Grade 2 Category, announcing himself as a name to watch.
In ASDC 2026, he didn't just move up a grade. He conquered it, taking the highest honour Top Prize Gold for Grade 3.
But what sets Haz Ryean apart from the other winners is what happened between those two competitions.
The Triple Crown: Competition, Exams and School Talent Champion
While preparing for ASDC 2026, Haz Ryean also:
1. Scored a Distinction for his Rockschool Drums Grade 3 Exams proving technical excellence under strict international examination standards, not just performance flair.
2. Won Champion for Drum Category at the ‘Stephenian Factor’, the prestigious talent competition at St. Stephen’s School proving he can win the hearts of his school and community, not just judges.
Competition Champion. Exam Distinction. School Champion.
That's not luck. That's consistency.
