On Singapore's National Day weekend, while flags were waving, Adrianna Agilan made sure one more flag was raised - as the ONLY Singaporean winner in the Grade 5 Category at ASDC 2026.
At the Asian Supreme Drum Competition (ASDC) 2026 in Singapore, Adrianna Agilan was crowned Champion / Top Prize Gold Award Winner for Rockschool Grade 5 with a Certificate of Distinction.
And she wasn't just a winner. She was Singapore's ONLY winner in Grade 5. On National Day.
Just like Johanna Kajol did for Grade 4, Adrianna did it for Grade 5, two Drumstruck girls, two grades, two Singaporean only wins on the Nation's birthday.
The Record No One Else Has: Distinctions from Grades 1 to Grade 5
Adrianna started learning drums at 9 years old under her father, Mr. Joshua Agilan, Master Trainer and Founder of Drumstruck Studios.
Her report card:
- Distinction — Rockschool Grade 1
- Distinction — Rockschool Grade 2
- Distinction — Rockschool Grade 3
- Distinction — Rockschool Grade 4
- Distinction — Rockschool Grade 5
Five grades. Five Distinctions. Zero Merits. Zero Passes. 100% Distinction record.
In Rockschool, Distinction is 90% and above. To achieve it 5 times consecutively is not luck. It is a standard of excellence that never drops.
Back to Back Champion: The Legacy Continues
- 2025: ASDC Champion — Grade 4 Category
- 2026: ASDC Champion — Grade 5 Category, ONLY Singaporean Winner on National Day
Two years. Two different grades. Same result: Champion.
More Than Trophies: Music Ministry at Church of the Epiphany
What separates Adrianna from every other champion?
While others play for applause, Adrianna Agilan also plays for a higher purpose. She currently serves in the music ministry, playing drums for the Church of the Epiphany.
On Sunday mornings she plays to worship. On competition day she plays to win. Same excellence, different stage. That is what Drumstruck produces, not just competitors, but musicians who serve.
National Day Double Pride for Drumstruck Studios & Singapore
- Grade 4: Johanna Kajol — Only Singaporean Winner
- Grade 5: Adrianna Agilan — Only Singaporean Winner
- Both: Won on National Day 9th August, ASDC 2026 Singapore
On the day Singapore celebrated its independence, two girls from Drumstruck Studios ensured Singapore was represented at the top of two of the hardest grades.
What's Next: Rockfest Kuala Lumpur 2027 - Grade 6 and Beyond
Adrianna is not done. For 2027, she is aiming higher at the Rockfest Kuala Lumpur for Grade 6 categories and beyond, the international battleground for Asia's elite drummers.
From a 9 year old beginner to a 5 time Distinction holder, to a back to back ASDC Champion, to a Church drummer, to now the ONLY Singaporean Grade 5 Champion on National Day.
This is what long term training under Master Trainer Joshua Agilan looks like.
Yes, She is the Eldest Daughter of Joshua Agilan and She earned every bit.
She didn't win because she is the teacher's daughter. She won because she lived the standard her father drills into every Drumstruck student:
OTHERS DREAM OF SUCCESS, WE MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Adrianna will be continuing her drumming journey to Grade 6 and beyond. Follow her journey below.
